1. Who We Are

LOL.Gathers (lolgathers.com) is a community platform for League of Legends players to find groups, teams, and scrimmage partners. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means LOL.Gathers.

LOL.Gathers is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games. League of Legends and all related marks are trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address and a username. If you register via a social provider (Google, Facebook, or Riot Games), we receive the email address and unique identifier that provider shares with us.

League of Legends Data

If you link your Riot account, we retrieve your summoner name, tag, PUUID, rank, and profile icon via the official Riot Games API. This data is used solely to display your profile and match you with other players.

Usage Data

We log general activity (group creation, logins, etc.) for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and site statistics. We do not sell this data.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics (via Cookiebot-managed consent) to measure aggregate site traffic. No advertising profiles are built from your data by us.

3. How We Use Your Information

To operate your account and the platform features
To send transactional emails (confirmation, password reset) via Brevo
To display your League of Legends profile to other users on the site
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
To send you service notifications (team invites, scrim requests)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Riot Games (RSO) — OAuth login and Riot API data
Google — OAuth login and Google Analytics
Facebook / Meta — OAuth login
Brevo — Transactional email delivery
Microsoft Azure — Hosting, real-time messaging (SignalR), and blob storage
Cookiebot — Cookie consent management

Each third party is subject to their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at support@lolgathers.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Export your data in a portable format (available via Account → Download personal data)

7. Security

We use HTTPS, secure password hashing, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and security headers to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to support@lolgathers.com.

8. Children

LOL.Gathers is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
